Forex Strategy «Fast-Slow» is designed to find a trend reversal point and enter the market. It is worth noting that the sideways filters are far from perfect in this system, which still sometimes leads to deep drawdowns, but it also often allows you to be inside a new trend at a very close point from the reversal itself.
Statistics:
From March 2019 to March 2020, the strategy showed a positive result in the region of 1770 points (for 4-digit quotes). The maximum drawdown was quite deep — 270 points.
- Currency pair — GBP/USD.
- Time interval — H1.
Indicators:
- Color_MA with parameters 12; 1; 2.
- WPRfast with options 9; 9; 49.
- WPRslow with parameters 54; 9; 49.
Terms for purchases — Fast-Slow:
1) After one of the WPR indicators has drawn a red scale, you should wait until one of the same indicators (or both at once) draws three green scales in a row.
2) On the third green scale, the other indicator must definitely not show the red scale. If there is a red scale, then we are waiting for its disappearance.
3) The Color_MA indicator is green.
4) If at the close of the corresponding candle the closing price is higher than the Color_MA indicator, then a buy deal is concluded at the opening price of the next candle.
5) Stop loss is set at a distance of 30 points from the entry point.
6) After passing 25 points, the transaction is transferred to breakeven.
7) Take profit is set at a distance of 90 points from the entry point.
8 ) While the active transaction is not transferred to breakeven, other signals in any of the parties are not traded.
Sales conditions:
1) After the moment one of the WPR indicators has drawn a green scale, you should wait until one of the same indicators (or both at once) draws 3 red scales in a row.
2) On the 3rd red scale, the second indicator should definitely not show the green scale. If there is green, then we are waiting for its disappearance.
3) Color_MA is colored red.
4) If at the close of the corresponding hourly candle the closing price is below the Color_MA indicator, then a sell trade is opened at the opening price of the next candle.
5) A safety stop-loss order is placed at a distance of 30 points from the market entry point.
6) After the price passes +25 points, the deal is «transferred to zero».
7) We fix the profit by take profit, which is set at a distance of +90 points from the entry point into the transaction.
8 ) Until the deal is closed and transferred to the breakeven point, other signals to either side are not traded.
